Robert Parker's Wine Advocate : The Sena 2012 comes from a fresh vineyard on a rocky hillside with clay, in the middle of the Aconcagua Valley, where the influence of the Pacific Ocean is still present. This wine has always been a blend, and in 2012 it is Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Lively and straight, mixing aromas of red fruits, it is also a wine with a brilliant robe. It presents notes of ripe black fruits and balsamic notes in the form of tobacco, cedar. The mouth is fleshy, the acidity and freshness are beautiful and the tannins sophisticated, polished and fine. It is still a young wine, but its silky texture makes it drinkable now, even if complexity should come with time.
