Alsace wines

Known for its slim shaped bottles and triumph in white winemaking due to its German origins, Alsace is one of the only regions in France to primarily produce single-varietal wines.

 

Alsace produces some of the most delicious dry white wines, using popular varietals such as Riesling and Gewurztraminer. Some of the most notable appellations in the region are Alsace (AOC), Alsace Grand Cru, and Crémant d’Alsace (for sparklings).

Some of the most famous wine producers from this region include Léon Beyer, Hugel and Trimbach.

 

Its terroir, bordered by the eastern side of the Vosges Mountain range, benefitting from south and south-eastern solar exposure has all the right elements for a perfect wine-growing recipe. Giving the grapes that sun-kissed quality, expressed in the wine that is hard to find anywhere else.
