From ruby red to dark cherry colored reds, wines from this appellation suggest the presence of raspberries, blackcurrant, redcurrant, nuts, licorice and spices. Also present are roses, violet, and wood. On the palate, they are powerful, opulent and elegant. Full-bodied with a deep complexity. They have an aging potential of around 10 years.
