Gevrey-Chambertin GC
Young wines from this appellation tend to be of a bright ruby red, and of a carmine, dark cherry color after some years of aging. Strawberries, blackberries, violets and roses all come together to build up the characteristics of the appellation, followed by licorice, leather, and fur. The flavor profile is rich and intense with a full body and velvety tannin structure. Enjoyable in their youth but develop beautifully through aging.
