Domaine Henri Bonneau
Stephane Spitzglous was raised by his grandfather, Henri Bonneau on the family vineyard, which had been in the family for over 3 generations and inherited the estate in 1996. In 2004, Stephane vinifies his first vintage and baptizes the Domaine “Chateau Henri Bonneau” in honor of his grandfather. In 2016, Henri Bonneau passes away leaving behind a notable heritage and his grandson Stephane as an established and successful winemaker.
The vineyard, although relatively small in size covers 6 hectares in the Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Wines from this Chateau are rare due to a smaller production (around 25,000 bottles a year) and are exclusively reds issued from Grenache, Cinsault, Counoise and Mourvèdre.
The best vintages of Henri Bonneau are: 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2003, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1995, 1990, 1989, 1981 and 1978.
