Dom Pérignon
If you know anything about Champagne, the name Dom Pérignon might ring a bell. This is most likely because you’ve heard the story about a benedict monk who discovered sparkling wine and lived on famously through his quote “come quickly, I am tasting the stars”. Although this remains a popular myth, Dom Perignon’s contribution to the reputation and widespread of Champagne can’t be denied.
The first vintage of Dom Pérignon Champagne was a 1921 and was released in 1936. Shortly after its release the brand grew quickly and achieved great success through its undeniable quality. The Champagne was chosen countless times for big events and was even served at Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles’ wedding.
Dom Pérignon’s best vintages are 1990, 1995, 1996, 2002, 2004, and 2008.
