Bolgheri

Situated on the beautiful Tuscan coast in the province of Livorno, the acclaimed Bolgheri DOC wine-growing region takes its name from a small walled town.

Covering an intimate 1,000 acres, its hilly landscape and sea breezes create a perfect microclimate for producing outstanding red and white fine wines. Its white varieties include Trebbiano, Vermentino, and Sauvignon. The supreme red grape varieties grown in this region are Cabernet, Merlot, Sangiovese and Vin Santo.

The prestigious Ornellaia estate, owned by Lodovico Antinori, produces the exquisite Masseto and popular Tenuta Guado al Tasso fine-wines.
