Chapel Down Winery is a 9 hectares English Estate located in Tenterden, Kent.
The Winery was born in 2001 and quickly become one of the leading winemaker and the most exciting drinks company in the UK.
Chapel down is producing great sparkling wines made up with Chardonnay and also red / white wines. Chapel Down is also a famous brewer (UK brewer of the year 2019) and spirit maker (great Gins using distilled grape skin and the finest botanicals).
Chapel Down is supplying British icons with its sparkling wines. Such is the case with Gordon Ramsey, Jamie Oliver and No 10 Downing Street. Chapel down has distinguished itself in prestigious sport events like Ascot racecourse and Oxford & Cambridge Boat Races (official sparkling wine). Other feat of arms, but not the least, Chapel Down has been served at the royal wedding of Kate and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and future King of England.
Chapel Down is a trendy modern Winery, through its products and through its opening. Chapel Down is the first Estate in England to be listed in the London Stock Exchange and to open its capital to shareholders.
On this point, Chapel Down is following again its illustrious Champagne elders, Laurent-Perrier (LPE), Lanson-BCC (ALLAN) and Vranken-Pommery Monopole (VRAP).
Beside middle range sparkling and red wines, Chapel Down is producing a premium range of wines made on single parcel vineyard located in the North of Kent area: Kit’s Coty Collection.
Kit’s Coty Coeur de Cuvée is part of very confidential production and has nothing to envy to the best vintage Blanc de Blanc from Champagne.
Chapel down benefits from a maritime climate and a large variety of soils, including chalky down lands and sunny clay-limestone slopes. The Estate is planted with a majority of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
