Château La Mission Haut-Brion
Dating back to the late 16th century, La Mission Haut-Brion is a Classified Growth of the acclaimed Graves wine-growing region of Bordeaux.
Owing its name to the ancient ‘Congregation of the Mission’, at the time fine wines were made for princes of the church earning the estate worldwide fame.
The generous 21-hectare vineyard of Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc red grape varieties and Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc white grapes.
With a terroir of deep gravel over clay, on a hill that reaches up to 25 meters in elevation, the superior vintages of Chateau La Mission Haut Brion Rouge are: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 1998, 1995, 1990, 1989, 1982, 1961, 1950, 1949, 1945, 1934, 1929, 1921 and 1900 and of Chateau La Mission Haut Brion Blanc and Laville Haut Brion are; 2017, 2016, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2005, 1998 and 1995.
