Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is a name that might ring a bell to more than a few. Known for boasting some of the most exceptional and most expensive wines in the world the Domaine has always kept a certain mystery around its success. All the Domaine wines are designated Grand-Cru and its vineyards are UNESCO world heritage sites. Limiting its production to around 6,000 cases a year also contributes to the wines’ extremely high demand along with premium prices.
La Tache benefits from many different variables including a meticulous vine care, a strict yield regimen, and a late harvest in order to get the most complexity and aromas out of the fruit. All of which result in a beautiful expression of the terroir with notes of black fruit, truffle, and spices. This wine is deemed always exceptional, even in more difficult vintages.
