Robert Parker's Wine Advocate : This is a strong effort from La Fleur de Gay, which appeared to have gone through some changes that resulted in irregularity. The gorgeous 2011 is a reassuring example of what this small parcel on the high plateau of Pomerol, planted with 100% Merlot, is capable of achieving. Its dense purple color is accompanied by abundant floral notes intermixed with raspberry, kirsch and blacker fruit characteristics.
Medium to full-bodied with sweet tannin, a sweet core of fruit, and a velvety finish, it can be drunk in several years or cellared for 15 or more.
