Robert Parker's Wine Advocate : Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Grand Corbin-Despagne rocks up with exuberant notions of wild blueberries, Black Forest cake and plum preserves with hints of lavender, underbrush and cloves. Full-bodied and with great concentration, the palate delivers bags of perfumed fruit layers, finishing with excellent persistence.
James Suckling : Lovely density and fruitiness to this 2016 with plum and berry character, round tannins and fresh finish. Enlarge Tasting Note.
Wine Spectator : Very polished in feel, with layers of blueberry and raspberry puree gliding along, inlaid with sweet spice, black tea and melted black licorice. Almost too easy, but the fruit is hard resist.
