Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The Coutet ’04 has a crisp, “cutting” bouquet that has an appealing sense of transparency to it, revealing the terroir, its stoniness underneath its honeyed fruit. The palate is lively and edgy with touches of freshly cut pear, acacia honey, almond paste and crushed stone, crisp and tensile towards the finish that is just lacking a little length. A ‘decent’ Coutet, but they have made better wines in recent years. Drink now-2025 Tasted November 2010.
