Robert Parker's Wine Advocate : The 2018 Clos de Sarpe is [...] aged for approximately 12 months in oak barriques, 70% new. It opens with powerful notes of blackberry pie, plum preserves and blueberry compote, leading to suggestions of Indian spices, cardamom, rose oil and ground cloves. The full-bodied palate is richly fruited and densely laden with exotic spice and earthy layers, framed by exquisitely ripe, velvety tannins and tons of freshness, finishing very long and fragrant. Stunning! With alcohol running at around 15%, this is one for the hedonists.
Blend : 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.
