Robert Parker's Wine Advocate : The Bourgneuf 2013 has a very sensual bouquet with raspberry, kirsch and a touch of Provençal herbs. With continued aeration there is a hint of seaweed that surfaces. The palate is medium-bodied with a soft opening. There is decent weight to this Bourgneuf with dark plum and raspberry fruit, although it is missing a little structure towards the finish. Nevertheless, one can appreciate the easy-drinking style and it finishes with some swagger, attired in some lovely strawberry fruit. Tasted 2014. Neal Martin.
James Suckling : A wine with hints of nuts, berry and milk-chocolate character. Medium body with firm tannins and a delicate fruit and tannin finish.
Wine Spectator : Plump and open, with a mélange of strawberry, cherry and raspberry fruit lined with subtle red liquorice and toasted spice notes. Offers a juicy, rounded finish. James Molesworth.
