Born in 1959, Maison Louis Jadot is one of the most prestigious Domaines of the Burgundy region. Alone, it covers almost all the appellations in Burgundy with over 225 hectares spread out over 130 appellations. Today, the Domaine is owned by a wealthy American family and the wines are produced by the qualified Frederic Barnier who oversees every winemaking process.
In 1913, les Demoiselles parcel was acquired which gave birth to the famous cuvée under the same name. Located above Montrachet, at the center pf the famous Grand Cru Chevalier-Montrachet, with East facing slopes and a limestone soil. In comparison to Montrachet, this cuvée expresses a fresh minerality with much elegance. Its texture is fine and delicate, followed by a long finish worthy of the Grand Cru name.
